This is the best ever book about the Villisc murders, and I've read them all. Does Dr. Epperly solve the crime? No, but he presents all the facts, literally of them, is an intriguing and easy to read format. By the end, the reader knows everything and is left to make their own decision. I've decided it was Rev. Kelly despite being much impressed by The Man From the Train. I, too, live in rural Iowa, and I'm back to locking the doors at night. :-)
